New Delhi: In order to examine and discourse on the many facets of the functioning of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, a Chintan Shivir was conceptualised and inaugurated by Lok Sabha Secretary General Utpal Kumar Singh on Monday in Parliament House.
During the 2-day event, more than 250 employees of the Lok Sabha Secretariat drawn from various Services and all ranks of Officials and Staff will attend the brain storming session.
Utpal Kumar Singh, who inaugurated the programme, said that the aim of arranging the Chintan Shivir was to give a venue for goal-setting, stimulating creativity, and encouraging new thinking among Secretariat staff in order to increase their professional experience.
In order to keep the soul and intellect of Lok Sabha Secretariat officials fresh and to stay linked to people's aspirations, he stated, "this unique exercise was to reflect on administrative issues."
Such Shivirs would not only raise the efficiency of the officials of the Secretariat through positive brain-storming but also ensure transparency and objectivity in the working of the Secretariat. The dynamism of the younger employees juxtaposed with the maturity and experience of senior officials would create a healthy environment for the proficient functioning of the secretariat, Singh said.
The Chintan Shivir of Home Ministers is an endeavor to offer a national perspective to policy formulation on internal security-related matters, in accordance with the Panch Pran announced by the Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech.
