BENGALURU: Adam Bidappa, the son of famed fashion choreographer Prasad Biddappa, was detained on Saturday in Bengaluru on charges of sending obscene and vulgar messages to a Kannada actress and harassing her.
According to Indiranagar police, Kannada actress Sanjjanaa Galrani filed a complaint against Adam Bidappa for sending her filthy SMS. Adam Bidappa, on the other hand, has refuted all claims, according to police.
The actress is pregnant and has been seen celebrating motherhood on social media, therefore the occurrence has startled the public.
The complaint said, Adam Bidappa sent indecent texts to the actress between the hours of 10 p.m. and 12 a.m. on February 25. The actress has presented the police with a screenshot of a WhatsApp conversation and is seeking legal action against the accused.
In the discussion, the accused, who is in his mid-30s, allegedly wrote vulgar words and threatened to murder her. In addition to the IT Act, a complaint has been filed under IPC Sections 354A (sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman's modesty).
Adam Biddappa was apprehended at Pollibetta, Kodagu, and taken to the city. On Friday evening, he was placed in judicial detention. Indiranagar police have opened an investigation into the incident.
