New Delhi: After playing just two matches in the second leg of the 14th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), smoky batsman Chris Gayle has decided to quit the tournament. The team management has been informed about the return of the IPL team to their home country after leaving the Bubble on Thursday. Gayle, who has been travelling from one bio bubble to another in a row, has taken the decision to keep himself fresh for mental fatigue and the T20 World Cup.

Punjab Kings on Thursday informed that the team's explosive batsman Gayle will no longer be available for further matches. Due to bio bubble fatigue, he has decided to leave the tournament midway and return home. Gayle is preparing himself to play for his team West Indies in the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in UAE and Oman next month.

Gayle was feeling tired of travelling from one bubble to another and that is why he has decided to rest with his family at home for a few days. He entered the IPL bubble from the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League bubble. Under the Corona Protocol, all the players in the team have to follow strict rules.
