Citroen, the French carmaker launched its premium hatchback C3 at an introductory price of INR 5,70,500 and goes up to INR 8,05,500 on Wednesday which will be available in its showroom located in Delhi. The company had begun pre-bookings of the model on July 1 and its deliveries to the customers will start from today onwards at all its showrooms in 19 cities across the country.

The model is the first product from the C-Cubed family of vehicles, built at the company’s manufacturing facility situated in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu and is available in two variants, Live and Feel, the Citroen C3 gets two petrol engine options– a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder naturally aspirated unit that makes 82hp and 115Nm with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the other is a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit, producing 110hp and 190Nm with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Citroen said that the new product is 90% localized and will also be available for direct online buying. “Customers in over 90 Indian cities, including those outside the dealer network, will be covered through this direct online initiative and can order directly from the factory,” it said.

As a part of the New C3’s Warranty Programme, the carmaker will offer a standard vehicle warranty for two years or 40,000 km (whichever is earlier), a warranty on spare parts & accessories for 12 Months or 10,000 km (whichever is earlier), and 24/7 Roadside Assistance for maximum comfort and mobility. Extended warranty and maintenance packages are also available across the network.

The company said it will also offer a package for new C3 customers, which allows them to own the product with an easy monthly payment starting from INR 11,999. The package also includes Routine Maintenance, Extended Warranty, Roadside Assistance and on-road financing for up to five years.

This is our first model from the C-Cubed family of vehicles that are designed and engineered in India, for Indians.”
