Uttarakhand: Heavy hailstorm in Dehradun and adjoining areas, 7 districts witnessed light rain and snowfall on Sunday, with it being reported that the incident took place around 3.30 am. However, no casualty has been reported so far. 2 two wheelers are missing. Three animals trapped in a goshala have been rescued.

The police and administration teams who came to the notice have been engaged in rescue operations. The villagers have expressed strong anger over the revenue sub-inspector of the area not reaching the spot till 7.30 am. He said the Revenue Sub-Inspector has shown irresponsibility on several occasions in the past. Pradhan also demanded action against them.

Many footpaths have been washed away here. The rain has blocked badrinath highway in Pagalnala. A large quantity of debris and boulders have come up on the highway.
