Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot will present the budget in the Assembly at 11 am today. The public expects a lot from the 2020-21 state budget. This will be the second budget of the Congress government after coming to power in Rajasthan in December 2018. The biggest challenge for him in the budget will be to get the state out of the financial crisis. The Chief Minister finalized the budget at his residence on Wednesday in the presence of Additional Chief Secretary (Finance) Niranjan Kumar Arya, Secretary (Finance-Budget) Hemant Gera and Secretary (Finance-Revenue) Dr. Prithvi Raj.

On this budget, Archana Sharma, Vice President of the State Congress Committee said, 'We hope that there will be provisions for all sections in the budget. There is a possibility of strengthening the government's flagship program 'Nirogi Rajasthan'. The budget will focus on women, youth and farmers. He said that in the last budget the focus was on infrastructure development.

For your information, let us tell you that the emphasis of the government can be on promoting Rajasthan's handicrafts and its small and cottage industries. Apart from this, there may be some new announcements in minerals and tourism. Along with this, the focus can be placed on big infrastructure projects like the start of the second phase of Jaipur Metro, large irrigation and drinking water projects etc.
