Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan intensely attacked Pakistan and China, saying India today is different from what it used to be in 1962 and declared that the country “would not spare” anyone on the concern of terror campaign.

Chief Minister Chouhan, who arrived in Washington on a nearly week-long US visit, asserted India is no longer a country of 1962 and this was realized by none other than China whose soldiers had to remove from its encroach position in Doklam due to the willpower is shown by Indian soldiers and the emergence of a well-built India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“India today is not a country of 1962,” CM Chouhan said amidst approbation from the audience. He was addressing the Indian-American community at a dinner conference organized by the Indian embassy.

CM Chouhan’s comment on China was a clear reminder of the then defense minister Arun Jaitley’s remarks during the confrontation.

“The situation in 1962 was different and India of 2017 is different,” Mr. Jaitley said when asked about China’s word of warning that the Indian Army should take “historical lessons”.

On August 28, India and China contracted to “hasty disentanglement” of border workforce at the face-off site in Doklam following diplomatic communications after over two months confrontation.

Chouhan stressed that there would be “no compromise” on terror campaign, in an oblique warning to neighboring Pakistan, which is indicted of harboring terrorists on its soil.
