Chamoli:  Chief Minister of Uttarakhand  Pushkar Singh Dhami said the state's annual budget tabled in the assembly on March 15 is based on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.'

At 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Finance Minister Premchand Aggarwal presented the budget in the presence of chief Minister Dhami, emphasising small businesses, environmental preservation, independence, good governance, and self-employment.

"A big budget has been submitted for the financial year 2023–24, based on the notion of the Prime Minister's mantra–Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas, said the chief minsiter. This budget "fulfils our resolution of the strong Uttarakhand" and is fair to all. The CM remarked that it is a budget for the new Uttarakhand. The CM further said that it is “our resolution to make Joshimath stand in a new form. We have made a provision of 1000 crores in the budget. Full cooperation is also being received from the Centre.”

In this budget, infrastructure, agriculture, horticulture, rural development, health, and tourism have received special consideration. Youth have also received special attention, the CM emphasised.

"The need of fostering an environment for work and self-employment has been highlighted. The budget includes 200 crores for the construction of 50,000 poly houses "said Dhami.The Chief Minister said that the key point of this budget 2023-24 is the holistic development of Uttarakhand.

The session of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly is  taking place from March 13 to 18, and  it was agreed at a cabinet meeting with ministers on March 15 under the leadership of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It was decided to hold the Assembly session in Bharadisain in Gairsain during the cabinet meeting presided over by the Uttarakhand chief minister.
