At the same time, Home Minister Amit Shah said in an interview to ANI on Tuesday that there is only one detention center in Assam in the whole country, the rest is not known to him. He also said that BJP has not built any detention center.

Regarding the matter, Karjol told the media that the first detention center has been set up for illegal migrants in the state. This detention center in Nelamangala Sondekoppa also has a kitchen, drinking water, and toilet facilities. 10 policemen have been deployed outside it and fencing has been done. The state social welfare department, on the condition of anonymity, said that they had received instructions that the Central Relief Center should be ready before January 1. This building is 20 years old and has been used for the living of the poor for the last 18 years, but it has been almost empty for the last two years. Since food, shelter, and clothes are provided in it, it is looked after by the department.
