Ranchi: CM Hemant Soren is likely to resign today amid the ongoing political turmoil in Jharkhand. According to the report, Hemant Soren may resign from the membership of the Assembly. He has called a cabinet meeting at 4 pm today. After this, Hemant Soren will stake the claim to form the government again. For this, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leaders have sought an appointment with the Governor. The alliance leaders will meet Governor Ramesh Bais at 4 pm.

In fact, in the case of the office of profit against Hemant Soren, the Election Commission had recently sent its recommendation to the Governor. It had advised cancelling Soren's assembly membership. However, Governor Ramesh Bais is yet to take a decision in this regard. In view of the Office of Profit case, Hemant Soren has made a new move to resign. He is likely to meet Governor Ramesh Bais and stake his claim to form the government again. The process of forming a new government has also started.  

Amid the crisis over Hemant Soren's MLAship, there is political turmoil in the state. MLAs of the Hemant Soren-led ruling coalition have been hidden in a resort in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, so that no one can break those MLAs. The Soren government had alleged that the BJP was trying to buy their MLAs.
