Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao expressed shock over the death of former Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy. Narasimha Reddy's death was mourned. He ordered the state funeral of the senior Most TRS leader. Various ministers remembered Reddy's services to Telangana. The Chief Minister condoled the family members.

Narasimha Reddy has been given key positions if he looks at his work for the party. He continued in the TRS Polit Buro until the last breath. When the TRS aligned with the Congress in the 2004 assembly elections, ys rajasekhara reddy served as minister of technology in the cabinet from 2005 to 2008. K Chandrashekhar Rao became the first Home Minister in the newly formed Telangana state in the cabinet and was in the post until the 2018 Assembly elections.

Narasimha Reddy won three times as MLA from Mushirabad Assembly constituency between 1978 and 2009. He also served as a member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the Governor's Quota, which expired in April this year. He was one of the few leaders involved in the Telangana agitation in 1969 and later in 2001.
