New Delhi: CM Arvind Kejriwal gave a big relief to millions of people living in many colonies of Delhi today. He has announced the Chief Minister free sewer connection scheme for the people living in the colonies. Under which, now people will not have to pay the development, connection and road cutting charges for taking a sewer connection.

Connection, road cutting, and development charge on this cost about 15 thousand rupees. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that by 31 March 2020, people living in different colonies can take advantage of this scheme by applying. The Delhi Cabinet has approved it on Monday. CM Arvind Kejriwal has said that this scheme will prove to be a milestone in cleaning the Yamuna River along with raising the standard of living of the people living in different colonies. Right now the water of sewerage of various colonies goes into the drains and other channels in the Yamuna itself. In addition, it also contaminates groundwater.

He said that this will be curbed after the new scheme. CM Arvind Kejriwal said that for those areas where sewer lines have not been laid, the Chief Minister Septic Tank Scheme has already been announced for them. Under which all the septic tanks of the colony will be cleaned for free.
