Kolkata: West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is known for her short temper. Mamata clashes with the central government at almost every step. Despite all this, she is the most popular political face of Bengal. This year, more than 3,000 Durga Pooja organizers have sent her a request for the inauguration of their pooja pandal. According to the news, out of more than 10,000 worship organizers across the country, 3,000 such worship organizers from Bengal want the chief minister to either inaugurate their pooja pandal or on any one of the four days from Saptami to Dashami be present as well.

Organizers from Delhi, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand have contacted Mamata Banerjee. A total of 75 Durga Puja pandals were inaugurated by Mamata Banerjee in 2018. Banerjee started the Durga Pooja Carnival in 2016. Under this, a statue carnival is taken out by the best worship organizers of the city before immersion and various cultural events are organized under it. Please note that Durga Pooja is the biggest festival in Bengal. This festival has its own political significance in Bengal. Recently a notice was sent to some of the Pooja committees in Kolkata by the Income Tax Department. About which there was a fierce conflict between Mamata and the Center.
