PATNA: Political strategist Prashant Kishor on Wednesday claimed that Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is in touch with the BJP and may re-align with the party if the situation so demands. Prashant Kishor is currently on a padyatra in Bihar. This padyatra is being seen as Prashant Kishor's entry into active politics. Prashant Kishor told that Nitish Kumar has kept open a line of discussion with BJP through JDU MP and Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha Harivansh Narayan Singh. An attempt was also made to know the reaction of Harivansh Narayan on Prashant Kishor's statement, but no response has been received from his side. His party, however, rejected the claim and said that Nitish Kumar would never join hands with the BJP again.

Prashant Kishor said, ''Those who are thinking that Nitish Kumar is actively forming a national alliance against the BJP, will be surprised to know that he has kept a line open with the BJP. He is in touch with BJP through his party MP and Rajya Sabha Deputy Speaker Harivansh.'' He said that Harivansh has not been asked to resign from his Rajya Sabha post for this reason even though JD(U) has severed ties with the BJP. "People should keep in mind that whenever such situations arise, they can go back to BJP and work with BJP," he said.

After this statement, JDU pulled up Kishor. Party spokesperson KC Tyagi said that the Bihar CM has publicly declared that he will never join hands with BJP again in his life. Tyagi said, ''We deny their claims. Nitish Kumar is in active politics for more than 50 years and Prashant Kishor for 6 months. Kishor has made such misleading remarks to create confusion.''
