Patna: CM Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the death of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) veteran leader and former Union Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh. CM Nitish Kumar also spoke to Raghuvansh Prasad Singh's son and tied him up in this hour of grief. CM Nitish has wished God to give peace to the soul of Raghuvansh Babu and said that the family and fans should be empowered to be patient in this hour of grief.

State CM Nitish Kumar has said in his condolence message that Raghuvansh Babu was a well-known socialist leader. Nitish has also mentioned his political journey. He said that he was also the cabinet minister of Karpoori Thakur's government. Raghuvansh Babu represented Vaishali Lok Sabha constituency four times and his tenure as Union Minister for Rural Development was well appreciated.

CM Nitish discussed the matter with Raghuvansh Prasad Singh's son Satyaprakash Singh and tied him up. CM Nitish has directed the local commissioner and officials to contact the family members of Raghuvansh Prasad Singh and arrange to bring his body to Patna as per his wish. CM Nitish has also told the officials that Raghuvansh Babu's last rites should be performed with state honors. The CM has said that he will be cremated with state honors as per the protocol set under the guidelines currently in force for the period of the Corona epidemic.
