Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has announced to provide 75,000 government jobs to the youth of the state in the next one year. On Saturday, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said that the Eknath Shinde-led government will provide 75,000 government jobs in a year. Fadnavis also lauded PM Narendra Modi's initiative to provide 10 lakh jobs to the youth.
Devendra Fadnavis said, "With this initiative started by the PM, our government under the leadership of CM Eknath Shinde in Maharashtra has also decided to give jobs. Of the 75,000 jobs, 18,000 vacancies will be in the police department. For this, the advertisement will be published in the next 5 to 7 days. In June, the PRIME Minister had asked several government departments and ministries to provide jobs to 10 lakh persons on 'mission mode' in the next one-and-a-half years. At the same time, Modi handed over appointment letters to 75,000 candidates of government jobs on Saturday. He said the Centre is working on multiple fronts to create maximum employment opportunities for the youth.
Prime Minister Modi said, 'Today India is the 5th largest economy in the world. Within 7-8 years we have jumped from 10th to 5th No. This is being possible because in the last 8 years, we have removed those shortcomings of the country's economy, which used to create obstacles. The Startup India campaign has established the potential of the youth of the country in the whole world. Till the year 2014, when there were only a few 100 startups in the country, today this figure crossed 80,000.'
