Bhopal: Corona infection is on the rise in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has now addressed the farmers of Madhya Pradesh last Thursday evening. Meanwhile, CM said, "Dear farmer sisters and brothers. Salutations to all of you. Today, we are all fighting a war with an unknown enemy. With the cooperation of all of you, the battle against Corona is going on and the Government is leaving no stone unturned to win this battle. We are working day and night, we are getting the support of all of you".

 

 

He further said, "Every grain of farmers' produce will be purchased. So far, 61 lakh MT of wheat has been procured. The last date for purchase in Indore-Ujjain division was 5th May, which has been extended to 15th May. The remaining sections will be purchased by May 25", he added, "We had extended the last date for payment of loans given to farmers in 2020-21 from March to April 30. Now, it is being increased to 31st May, so, rs.31 crores will be paid by the Government on behalf of the farmers. We have continued to lend at zero percent interest. 14.91 crore has been paid to the accounts of 74 lakh 56 thousand farmers since September 2020 last year".

In addition, he said, "As the first instalment of this financial year, an amount of Rs.1480 crore will be credited to the accounts of 74 lakh farmers on 7th May. I thank all the brothers and sisters engaged in earning that they are engaged even at the risk of their lives. As a result, more than 61 lakh Metric Tonnes of wheat has been procured".
