Bhopal: Today is the martyrdom day of revered Guru Arjun Dev ji Sahib. State Chief Minister Shivraj has paid homage on the occasion. He recently tweeted. In this tweet, he wrote: "Sartaj-e-Shahadat Pancham Patshah Arjun Dev Fakira Zabar-Zulam ki saath sucha ucha tha tera jamira!! I pay homage at the feet of the 5th Guru of Sikhs, revered Guru Arjun Dev ji Sahib, who is sacrificed for the welfare of religion and humanity."

Apart from him, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra tweeted, "Salutations to (#????_??????_???) Guru Arjun Dev ji, the fifth guru of Sikhism and a strong advocate of all-religion equality, on his sacrifice day! Your pure tendency, kindness, dedication to religious and human values will always inspire us all. The service of religion and humanity will be a true tribute at his feet.''

Talking about the legend, Guru Arjun Dev was born in Goindwal (Amritsar) on 7th April 1563, the home of Guru Ramdasji and Mata Bhaniji, the fourth guru of Sikhism. You must all know that Shri Guru Arjun Dev Sahib is the 5th guru of Sikhism. He was a great soul who sacrificed himself to uphold human ideals, while being a strong advocate of shiromani, sarvadharma equality.
