Bhopal: Today is the birth anniversary of Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay, the author of the national song 'Vande Mataram'. Yes, bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay was born on this day and madhya pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has bowed down on the occasion. Let us tell all of you that Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay, the author of the national song Vande Mataram, was born on 27th June, 1838 in Naihati, West Bengal. Bankimchandra, through his novels, made a significant contribution to the creation of a consciousness of rebellion against the British government among the countrymen.
