Khargone: Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday claimed that there is complete peace in Khargone. The government will help the people whose houses have been destroyed by the rioters in their entirety. This will be compensated by the rioters. There was stone-pelting on the Ram Navami procession in Khargone. It was later converted into riots. Khargone is still under curfew and only a few hours are being relaxed during the day. The situation is tense but under control. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Saturday said that we have decided that at the time of the riots, whose house has been ransacked by the rioters, who have set fire to the property, there are 10 such completely damaged houses. They will be rebuilt. The government will help in this on its own behalf.
He also informed that the figure for partially damaged houses in Khargone is 70. They will also be corrected with the help of the government. Completely damaged houses will be built. Those which are partially damaged will be repaired and then made better. Free treatment has been provided to those who are injured. They won't have any problems. We will also revive the livelihood of those whose livelihoods have been damaged. The government will provide full support so that their work can start again. There are about 16 such people on the list that I have come across. The loss will be fully compensated. Now the government will recover from the rioters later. We will not leave any of our brothers and sisters alone in times of crisis. The government is with them.
Property worth more than Rs 1 crore is estimated to have been damaged in the same Khargone nuisance. 66 houses, 10 shops and 27 vehicles were burnt. A panchnama of more than 90 is ready. The district administration has initiated the proceedings on the basis of the provisions of the Klein Tribunal. In addition to the Patwaris, the Revenue Inspectors are also assessing the loss by discussing it with the people. So far, 148 persons have been arrested in connection with the Khargone riots.
