Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched an initiative to make sugarcane farmers stockholders of sugar mills at Lok Bhawan. After listening to 11 farmer speakers on the occasion, CM Yogi praised them. CM Yogi smiled and said, "If you start saying like this, then I think all the leaders of the country will have to go towards retirement.''

CM Yogi further said that now the sugar mills of UP are yours too. For the first time in the state, the government is issuing share certificates to 50.10 lakh sugarcane farmers. It was launched by CM Yogi Adityanath at a function organised at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow. He told the farmers, "Around 11 farmer brothers and sisters spoke here. No one can say that there are farmers. That is, there are farmers, but the eloquence that he introduced is very commendable. I think if you start talking like that, many leaders will have to go towards retirement.''

CM Yogi said to the farmers, "You were speaking because you are associated with that area. You have practical knowledge of this area. Naturally, those who are sitting in the power of governance have practically less theoretical knowledge.'' CM Yogi said that earlier the sugarcane mafia dominated in UP. Farmers did not get slips on the mills. It is not so today. A system was created by connecting the farmers with technology. You have a smartphone if there's not a slip. CM Yogi said that this is why PM Modi says that corruption has to be eradicated, then adopt the technology. The Sugarcane Department adopted this technique so that the farmers do not have to fall prey to corruption. In the Corona period, if we did not implement technology, it was very difficult to run the sugar mills. Many sugar mills from Maharashtra to Brazil were closed.

Which sugarcane farmers are getting shareholder certificates?

According to the Yogi government's plan, certificates are being given to sugarcane farmers coming from 168 cooperative sugarcane development societies and 24 cooperative sugar mills in 40 districts of the state. All these farmers are shareholders of cooperative sugar mills and cooperative cane societies. A woman farmer sang a song at the event which began at 11 am at Lok Bhavan. A presentation was also made on the occasion. Let us know that in Lok Bhawan, CM Yogi is giving share certificates to the district collectors and CDO farmers at 40 district headquarters of the state. As per the departmental system, any sugarcane farmer can become a shareholder in the department by depositing a fee of Rs 200.
