Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is very strict in the case of atrocities and crimes against Dalits in the state. Action has been taken under the National Security Act (NSA) on the accusation of burning houses after fighting with Dalits in Jaunpur. In Azamgarh too, the NSA is being set up to send a dozen people inside for molesting Dalit girls.

CM Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the case of molestation and assault of Dalit girls in the Maharajganj Kotwali area of Azamgarh for several days. On his instruction, 12 people including accused Parvez, Faizan, Noor Alam and Sadre Alam have been arrested by the in-charge of Maharajganj police station. There are instructions to take action against all these under the National Security Act. In this incident, a reward of 25 thousand has been announced on the seven accused who are absconding.

All these accused in Azamgarh used to raid the Dalit girls going to take water from the tubewell daily. These people also assaulted the girls along with their family members. 12 people, including Parvez, Faizan, Noor Alam, Sadre Alam, who brutally beaten all these Dalits have now been arrested. ACM Yogi Adityanath has clear instructions that if there is a communal or ethnic incident on any place, then there will be action against the CO with the inspector and also against the SP-SSP.
