Lucknow: The political rhetoric in the Uttar Pradesh elections is over and now the leaders are seen smiling at each other in the assembly elections. Cm Yogi Adityanath and leader of opposition Akhilesh Yadav shook hands with each other during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected MLAs. During this time, CM Yogi also put his hand on the shoulder of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh.

In fact, the swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected MLAs has been held in the UP Assembly on Monday. The ruling party's legislature party leader and CM Yogi Adityanath was the first to take an oath and was administered the oath by protem speaker Ramapati Shastri. As soon as CM Yogi came down after taking the oath, he faced the SP chief. Cm Yogi smiled when he saw Akhilesh Yadav and the two shook hands. During this time, CM Yogi congratulated Akhilesh and placed his hand on his shoulder. Shortly after, Akhilesh greeted all the MLAs inside the assembly. During this time, Akhilesh shook hands with Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and arrived to take the oath.

After Akhilesh Yadav, former minister and BJP's assembly speaker's candidate Satish Mahana took the oath. This was followed by the swearing-in of deputy chief ministers Brajesh Pathak, Baby Rani Maurya, Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Jaiveer Singh, Dharampal Singh, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, Yogendra Upadhyay, Nitin Agarwal, Anil Rajbhar, Rakesh Sachan and several other ministers and MLAs.
