Lucknow: CM Yogi has stepped up preparations in the state for the Kanwar Yatra to be held during the crisis of the corona epidemic. He has given instructions for devotees for Jal Abhishek in Uttarakhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh. CM Yogi has said that the Kanwar yatra should be completed by interacting with neighboring subs. The Kanwar Yatra should be carried out smoothly keeping in view the Corona period. The Kanwar yatra of Shiva devotees will begin on July 25.

Meanwhile, a meeting was held with police officials from 8 states on Tuesday to visit Kanwar in Dehradun under the leadership of Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar. DGP Ashok Kumar said, "Like in 2020, this year too, the Uttarakhand government has banned the Kanwar yatra due to corona. In view of the third wave of the corona, former Uttarakhand CM Tirath Singh Rawat had completely banned the Kanwar yatra. Earlier, the government was severely criticized for organizing Kumbh and the second wave in the country was also attributed to the Kumbh event by the Uttarakhand government. Investigations into millions of fake covid tests at Kumbh are also still underway.''

Earlier, it was reported that the new Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami had discussed the Kanwar yatra over the phone with UP CM Yogi Adityanath. He may soon decide on starting the Kanwar yatra after talking to Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar.
