Lucknow: The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh launched a massive campaign to bring back the trapped laborers out of the states in the lockdown implemented due to the Corona epidemic. On Tuesday, CM Yogi Adityanath claimed that under this, more than 6 lakh laborers have been brought back to the state. He informed that the state government has made arrangements for their treatment by bringing back about 6.5 lakh laborers from other states.

CM Yogi said that in addition to this all these laborers have been given assistance of Rs 1000-1000 and they have been sent to their home to be home quarantined. He informed that more than 30 lakh families of helpless daily wage laborers and other poor in UP have been given a maintenance allowance of Rs 1000 and free food grains by the state government. With this, MNREGA laborers have been paid with increased pay scales.

CM Yogi further informed that two months advance funds have been provided to more than 88 lakh pensioners in the state. The first installment of Rs 2-2 thousand has been given in the account of 2 crore 34 lakh farmers of the state in April and the second installment is being sent this month. In the Jan Dhan account of 3 crore 26 lakh women, Rs 1630 crore has been sent in April and Rs 1630 crore in May.
