Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has paid tribute on the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, former PM of the country and biggest leader of farmers. CM Yogi offered flowers on the statue of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary today i.e. on Friday (December 23) in Vidhan Bhavan premises. After this, CM Yogi flagged off tractors to be given to Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in front of Vidhan Bhawan.
In fact, the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, who worked for the welfare of farmers, is being celebrated as Kisan Samman Divas across the country. During this, Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Singh, Cabinet Minister Swatantra Dev Singh, Forest Minister Arun Kumar Saxena, Minister of State (Independent Charge) Dinesh Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh were present.
At the same time, the State President of the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) business cell, Rohit Agarwal, while writing a letter to the President, requested to give Bharat Ratna to former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh. Rohit Aggarwal said that former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh has fought for the rights of the oppressed and deprived sections of the people throughout his life. Whenever Chaudhary Saheb got the opportunity, he worked for the farmers and backward-class people to the best of his ability. Such personality should be honored with Bharat Ratna.
