Lucknow: Counting of votes for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections is underway. In the trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems to be getting a thumping majority. Out of the 403 assembly seats in UP, the BJP has taken a lead in 267 seats. Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party (SP) is leading in 125 seats. Apart from these two parties, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is leading in 4 seats and Congress in 4 seats.  

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath is led by 30,000 seats from the Gorakhpur assembly seat. Shubhavati Shukla, wife of former BJP leader Upendra Dutt Shukla from Samajwadi Party (SP), Khwaja Shamsuddin on BSP ticket, Chandrashekhar Ravan from Azad Samaj Party and Chetna Pandey from Congress are in the fray from this seat.   

In the 2017 election from this seat, Radha Mohan Das Agarwal of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won the election.   CM Yogi Adityanath has taken a good lead over SP candidate Shubhawati Shukla. Let us tell you that the BJP is once again seen forming the government in Uttar Pradesh and in view of this, the celebration of workers in Lucknow has started. In the Lucknow BJP office, workers have started distributing sweets.
