CM Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday issued several guidelines reviewing the situation in 13 districts affected by coronavirus through video conferencing. He said that in districts where more than 100 cases are being reported every day, or where the total active case figure is more than 500, the District Collector should take a decision on holidays in secondary schools as per the local status. Appropriate decision should also be taken to control night traffic in such districts, but under no circumstances should the movement of essential materials like medicines, food grains, etc. be disrupted.

Instructions to increase contact tracing: The Chief Minister said that coronavirus infection is increasing rapidly in Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Kanpur Nagar, Gorakhpur, Meerut, Gautam Budh Nagar, Jhansi, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Agra, Saharanpur, and Moradabad districts. The number of cases here is high. However, the positivity rate has decreased. Increase contact tracing. They should be traced and tested and treated as per the requirement. The utility of monitoring committees and integrated command and control centers is going to be further enhanced. In this regard, he said that the public address system should be used more and more. The chief minister said people who do not wear masks should be fined. Special Secretary level officers should be deployed immediately for surveillance in all these districts.
