Gorakhpur tragedy: CMS office clerk Sudhir Pandey arrested.
Uttar Pradesh: In the Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College tragedy in which many were killed, the medical college CMS office clerk Sudhir Pandey on Saturday has been arrested.
The Uttar Pradesh Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh as per the source earlier had stated that it's a clear case of criminal negligence if someone dies due to disruption in oxygen supply, adding, when Gorakhpur tragedy probe result comes, culprits won't be spared.
The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath said that a team of top ministers was asked to determine if the death of the children was actually due to a disruption in oxygen supply at the hospital and assured to "not spare anyone found guilty".
A total of 290 children died at Baba Raghav Das (BRD) Medical College in Gorakhpur in August, 213 of them in the neonatal ICU and 77 in the encephalitis ward, principal P.K. Singh said.
