New Delhi: The Committee of Administrators constituted by the Supreme Court has overturned its old decision. The COA has allowed five state associations including Uttar Pradesh (UPCA) and Manipur Cricket Association (MCA) to send their new representatives. The COA has on Tuesday written an e-mail to the UPCA, Manipur, Indian Railways, Army and the Indian University Association, permitting them to participate in the upcoming elections with certain conditions. For this, it has invited applications from these state associations for new representatives.

The COA has written in an e-mail that UPCA, Manipur Cricket Association, Indian Railways, Army and Indian Universities Association are full members of the BCCI and according to the election official, the names of delegates sent by them in the past were ineligible for voting. Send names of newly qualified representatives for UPCA and Manipur AGM to be held on 23 October.

These two can also cast votes and attend meetings. However, there is no voting now. The COA has further written that the Indian Railways, Army and Indian Universities Association send their representatives but they will not participate in voting. The Centrally Administered Cricket Association (Chandigarh), Cricket Club of India and National Cricket Club may also send their qualified representatives, but representatives of these three associations can neither participate in voting nor can any representative be elected on their behalf. The COA has written that October 17 is the last date for sending the names of the representatives of these state associations. The COA will decide on their participation on 21 October.
