New Delhi: Coal India Limited, a state-owned company, has made a big announcement for its non-executive employees. The company has announced rs. 68500 to each employee as performance linked reward (PLR) for 2019-20 for these employees. As a diwali gift, the amount will be deposited in the bank accounts of the employees before October 25.

The company's decision will benefit about 2.62 lakh employees and increase the burden on the company by 1700 crore. The decision will also benefit the employees of 8 subsidiaries of Coal India. Last year, the company had given Rs. 64700 to its employees as PLR. This time, plr has been increased by 5.87 per cent even after the economy was affected due to the corona virus epidemic. Despite the corona virus this year affecting the sale of coal, more bonuses are being given to the employees.

As per the information furnished by the company, non executive employees who have completed at least 30 working days in 2019-20 will be given on PLR pro rata basis. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Ranchi between the management of Coal India and the representatives of central trade union.
