New Delhi: Cold wave continues in most parts of North India. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department on Sunday warned the general public to remain low visibility due to heavy fog in the next two days in parts of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Simultaneously, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir also expressed the possibility of snowfall in the higher areas for the next few days, due to which the cold of the air will increase further. For the next two days, orange and yellow warning of heavy rain and snowfall has been issued in Himachal.

According to the information received, due to the extremely dense fog at various places in Uttar Pradesh and North Madhya Pradesh, the general public will be in trouble, whereas light fog in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, East Rajasthan, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Odisha and Bihar. There will be less visibility on the go. Karnal was the coldest in Haryana, where the minimum temperature was 5 degrees below normal at 1.8 degrees. Bathinda and Adampur in Punjab were the coldest at 3.3-3.3 degrees. Other places in both states also have temperatures between 4 and 7 degrees. Chandigarh has recorded a temperature of 5.6 degrees.

26 trains late due to fog in North India: Recently, at least 26 trains coming to Delhi in the Northern Railway area arrived at various places on Sunday with delay of 2 to 5 hours due to low visibility due to dense fog. According to Northern Railway officials, Hyderabad-Nizamuddin Dakshin Express and Mumbai-Amritsar Dadar Express are 5 hours ahead of schedule, Puri-New Delhi Purushottam Express 4.45 hours, Katihar-Amritsar Express 4.15 hours, Hyderabad-New Delhi Telangana Express and Chhindwara-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express is running late by 4 hours.
