Bogota: Corona is wreaking havoc all around the world. Colombia is also facing a deadly virus.The government has extended the health emergency over COVID-19 till Feb. 28, urging people to avoid crowds and observe safety measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus. Even after such restriction, The nation has reported 371 more deaths from corona over the past 24 hours, raising the country's death toll to 53,284.
According to The Ministry of Health and Social Protection on Friday up to 10,058 new COVID-19 cases were registered in the same period, taking the country's total caseload to 2,077,633.
Talking about corona cases, Coronavirus cases rise unabated across the globe, with nearly 102.6 million infected by the deadly contagion. While 74,299,138 have recovered, 2,214,227 have died so far. The US remains the worst-hit country with 26,500,252, followed by India, Brazil, Russia and the United Kingdom. However, it terms of the total number of active cases, US tops the charts, followed by France, UK, Brazil and Belgium.
