Gold Verses Silver: According to Analysts in the Commodity market, gold prices in the national capital fell by Rs 98 to Rs 46,688 per 10 gramme on Thursday, following weak global indications. The precious metal settled at Rs. 46,786 per 10 gramme in the previous trade. Silver fell Rs. 699 per kilogramme to Rs. 60,024 per kilogramme, down from Rs. 60,723 per kilogramme in the previous trading.
“Gold was down at USD 1,799 per ounce on the international market, while silver was unchanged at USD 22.60 per ounce” Analyst said. "Gold prices fell on Thursday, with spot gold on the COMEX trading at USD1,799 per ounce. With rising US bond yields and a stronger dollar, gold prices saw selling due to risk-on sentiment."
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark Sensex fell 12.17 points, or 0.02 percent, to 57,794.32, while the broader NSE Nifty down 9.65 points, or 0.06 percent, to 17,203.95 in the domestic equity market. According to exchange data, foreign institutional investors were net sellers in the capital market on Wednesday, offloading shares worth Rs. 975.23 crore.
