Royal Enfield announced on Tuesday that the new-generation Classic 350 motorbike will be available on September 1st. The bike was rumoured to be coming out in the last week of August, but the company has officially confirmed the date with a 'Block Your Date' invite for September 1st.

The new-gen Classic 350 will be an entirely new bike from the inside out, according to previously released photos. It will be built on the J-platform of the Meteor 350 and will have substantial upgrades such as a redesigned chassis, metre dashboard, swingarm, and more. There will also be a lot of design changes on the new bike.

The bike will be powered by a 349cc single-cylinder DOHC engine from the Meteor 350, although the powertrain's official technical specs have yet to be confirmed. Aside from an upgraded engine and frame, the bike is expected to include a redesigned metre console with Tripper Turn-by-Turn Navigation. For the first time, the Meteor included the same capability.

The new-generation Classic will include upgraded electronics and mechanicals, as well as a higher price tag than the current model. When it is released, it is likely to start at approximately Rs.1.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs.2.20 lakh (ex-showroom).
