New Delhi: The growing difficulties in the Congress party do not seem to be coming to an end as now the Congress party is struggling with a financial crisis. For this reason, the party has instructed its general secretaries of state in-charge and other officials to curb the expenditure. Sources have revealed that the Congress, which has been away from power at the Center for five years, is facing a shortage of funds. To deal with the financial crisis, the party's accounts department has asked the general secretaries, state in-charge and other officials to reduce the expenses.

The Congress party has asked the officials in the directive to keep the expenses of tea and snacks limited to three thousand per month. Apart from this, the party has clearly stated that if the expenditure is more than this, it will be paid by the person concerned. Apart from this, sources have told that the Congress party has asked the leaders to travel a short distance by train. Not only this, the party has also refused to book the hotel if there is no need to stay overnight during the journey.

Let us tell you that for the Congress leaders and other officials, there is a tea-breakfast arrangement from the canteen of the All India Congress Committee. All the bills of the party functionaries are paid by the Accounts Department. The party's assets have declined by 15 percent during 2017 to 2018. In the year 2017, the assets of the Congress were Rs 854 crore, which has been reduced to Rs 754 crore in 2018.
