Patna: Jairam Ramesh, the Congress general secretary, took to X to criticize the NDA government, alleging horse trading and questioning PM Modi's stance on various issues. Ramesh's remarks come ahead of PM Modi's scheduled public rally in Bihar.

Ramesh accused the BJP of orchestrating government collapses and resorting to unethical means to stay in power. He highlighted the recent change in government in Bihar and questioned the cost it incurred on the people of India. Referring to the #ElectoralBondsScam, he alleged that the BJP uses ill-gotten electoral bonds to buy and sell MLAs, jeopardizing democratic values.

He further raised concerns about the Warisaliganj Sugar Mill in Bihar, which has remained defunct for the past decade despite promises from BJP leaders to revive it. Ramesh urged PM Modi to address the issue during his visit to Nawada.

Regarding the state of education in Bihar, Ramesh criticized the delay in teacher appointments, leading to a shortage of active teachers. He highlighted the plight of teachers and retired college employees who haven't received their dues, questioning the BJP government's efforts to secure their livelihoods.

Meanwhile, PM Modi expressed confidence in the BJP-NDA's prospects in Bihar, emphasizing the wave of support for the alliance. Bihar is set to undergo polling in seven phases, starting from April 19. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the NDA secured a significant victory, winning 39 out of 40 seats in Bihar.
