New Delhi: Congress leaders continue to praise PM Narendra Modi. Another name was added to the Congress leaders who praised Prime Minister Modi. This is the new name of former Karnataka minister and senior Congress leader Pramod Madhavraj. Pramod Madhavraj has praised the PM for the change in trend over the honour of the Padma Shri Awards.
Former Karnataka Minister Pramod Madhavraj praised PM Narendra Modi for posthumously conferring Padma Vibhushan on Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji and said the trend has changed since the BJP came to power at the Centre. Yesterday, while delivering a speech at a function on Friday, the Congress leader said that earlier the honour was given to those who applied for it, but the trend has changed after the Modi government came to power. If somebody does a good job, we should appreciate it. The former State Minister also said, "I belong to another party (Congress) but I am praising PM Modi.''
On Monday, President Ram Nath Kovind posthumously conferred the Padma Vibhushan on Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt in Udupi for his outstanding contribution to the spiritual world. The award was received by Vishwaprasanna Theertharu. The Congress leader praised the Modi government for the Padma Award as a function held in Udupi on Thursday to welcome Shri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha Swamiji.
