Bhubaneswar: In protest against the ever-increasing prices of petrol and diesel, the Congress has called for a shutdown in Odisha on 15 February today. In view of the call for a 6-hour shut down by Congress, the Odisha government has taken a big decision and has issued orders to keep all schools, colleges, and universities in the state closed. The bandh will be from 7 am to 1 pm today.

The Minister of School and Mass Education SR Dash said on Sunday that, 'The state government has decided to close all schools, colleges, and universities in view of the safety of students. During this period, Technical Institute and Industrial Training Center will also not open.' By the way, after a long time of 9 months, on 8 January, once again schools were opened in Odisha.

At the same time, security in the entire state has been tightened in view of the bandh in Odisha. According to the information received, orders have been issued by the state government to all its employees to reach the office before 9.30 am. At the same time, Odisha Bus Owners Association said that as long as the bandh continues, the bus service will also be closed.
