New Delhi: The contradiction in the Congress began to appear clearly 2 days after the meeting of its Rajya Sabha MPs on Thursday to form a political strategy. Many veteran leaders of the party have tweeted on Twitter in support of former PM Manmohan Singh. Under the leadership of Congress Working Congress President Sonia Gandhi, 34 Rajya Sabha MPs participated in the virtual meeting on Thursday, the meeting was convened to deliberate and strategize on the current political issues.

However, this meeting deviated from its agenda as a senior party leader and MP raised the issue of lack of coordination within the party on key issues. The MP reportedly said that the party needed to introspect. The virtual meeting convened by Sonia Gandhi on Thursday saw differences between several former Union ministers who were ministers in the former PM Manmohan Singh government and leaders close to former national president Rahul Gandhi, once again causing a rift within the Congress.

After a severe defeat in the Lok Sabha elections last year, the Congress is constantly struggling and is trying to save its land. Meanwhile, leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia have opted out of the party, while another young Rajasthan leader, Sachin Pilot, has openly rebelled against CM Ashok Gehlot.
