New Delhi: Congress veteran and lawyer by profession Abhishek Manu Singhvi has expressed displeasure over raising slogans in protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and said that such slogans have no place against the CAA No, because they are questioning the integrity of our country.

Abhishek Manu Singhvi tweeted with his official Twitter handle that he wrote, 'Bharat Mata Se Azadi' and 'Kashmir se Azadi' are separatist slogans. They have no place in opposition to CAA, because they are questioning the integrity of our country. Also weakening the strong movement against CAA '. Singhvi's statement came after anti-national slogans chanted by students of several universities including Jadavpur University. These students raised slogans like 'Kashmir mange Azadi', 'Assam mange Azadi'. All these agitating students were also carrying a long banner, in which it was written that 'Hindustan is a rapist'.

Let us tell you that students of several universities including Jadavpur University had gathered outside the Victoria Memorial to protest against BJP MP Swapan Dasgupta and Visva Bharati University Vice-Chancellor Bidyut Chakraborty.
