New Delhi: BJP leader Tajinderpal Singh Bagga was arrested by the Punjab Police on Friday (May 6, 2022) for his remarks on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and a case was registered against him in Patiala. Bagga's arrest has created a political stir in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Talking about the issue, senior Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnan said, "Thank you, Kejriwal did not get the Delhi Police, otherwise he would have shut down the PM and the Home Minister too.

The arrest of Delhi BJP unit spokesperson Tajinder Bagga has raised serious questions about the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. The BJP has termed Bagga's arrest as motivated by Viasat. Talking about the issue, during a TV debate, senior Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnan said that if a leader of an opposition party goes to someone else's state, will he be arrested? Acharya Pramod Krishnan further said that behind Bagga's arrest, there are two aspects, one legal and one political. He said such incidents will collapse the federal structure. He said that thus, if the BJP CM goes to Punjab, he will put a case on it, while if Kejriwal goes to the BJP-ruled states, then Daroga will file a case against him and put him inside.
