New Delhi: There is no stagnation in the party regarding the statement of veteran Congress leader and former Union Minister Kapil Sibal. After Ashok Gehlot, now Congress leader in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has also attacked Kapil Sibal. He said that Sibal is not our leader who should be answered on all his statements.

Adhir Ranjan said that Congress has a working style, work is going on with the new president of the party, when it is completed then it will be announced. He said that this is Corona period, we cannot call a meeting just because some party leaders want the president of the party. Attacking Kapil Sibal, he said that we do not need to comment on everything about Kapil Sibal. He is not our leader.

In an interview, veteran Congress leader Kapil Sibal spoke about the need for introspection within the party in view of the results of Bihar assembly elections and Madhya Pradesh by-election. He said in the interview, "People of the country, not only in Bihar but wherever the by-elections were held, people clearly do not consider the Congress an effective option. This is a conclusion. The alternative in Bihar was the RJD. We lost all seats in the Gujarat by-election. We did not get even a single seat in the Lok Sabha elections. In many seats in Uttar Pradesh, Congress candidates got less than 2% of the votes. I hope the Congress will introspect. "
