New Delhi: The matter of controversial remarks made on President Draupadi Murmu is taking a political colour. Along with the BJP, now the Congress is also opposing the statement of Minister Akhil Giri of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government of Bengal. The process of filing one complaint after another against Akhil Giri is also going on. BJP MP Locket Chatterjee has given a complaint against Giri at North Avenue Police Station in Delhi on Sunday morning.

It is worth mentioning that BJP has already filed a complaint against Mamta government minister Akhil Giri in Malda, Habibpur for his controversial remarks. Not only this, but Congress is also strongly criticizing this statement of the Bengal minister. Congress Lok Sabha MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary has also given a sharp reaction to Akhili Giri's statement. He has said that 'Politics is not a beauty contest.
