New Delhi: In a vision document released for Bihar assembly elections, the BJP promised free corona vaccine, and all political parties objected to it. Several Congress party leaders have raised their voices against the promise. Rajya Sabha member Anand Sharma has also expressed displeasure over the BJP's promise and tried to target PM Modi on the issue.
In a tweet, Rajya Sabha member and former Union Minister Anand Sharma said, "The BJP's promise of a free vaccine to woo Bihar voters reflects its frustration. It's a new lower level in the opportunism of cynicism and mania. Sitharaman forgot that she is India's Finance Minister and it is the duty of the BJP government to ensure access to the vaccine to all Indians."
In another tweet, Anand Sharma surrounded PM Modi on the issue and wrote, "PM Narendra Modi is going to campaign tomorrow, so he should clear that vaccine is for votes, or vaccine is for all people? In a tweet, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi wrote, "The Government of India has announced the distribution of Covid vaccine. To find out when vaccines and false promises will get you, please see the date of your state election."
