Guwahati: As you all will know, Assembly elections are going to be held in Assam in the coming months. In such a situation, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has started his campaign. Today, Rahul Gandhi started the election campaign from Sivasagar and said that 'illegal immigration is an issue in Assam but the people of Assam have the ability to solve this issue'. In his address today, Rahul Gandhi said that 'the people of Assam are the flowers of the bouquet of India. If the people of Assam suffer, the country will suffer.' With this, he praised former Assam CM and late Congress leader Tarun Gogoi. In his address, Rahul Gandhi also attacked the BJP.

He said, "CAA will never apply, no matter what happens." With this, he lashed out at the central government and said, "Let us listen to our two-sided government, CAA will never happen. The people here and the Congress will teach a lesson to those who will try to spread hatred in Assam. The Congress has always been a party of small traders and weak people. When our party comes to power, the hatred that is being spread will be completely destroyed. We will protect people of all religions and castes."

Apart from this, Rahul Gandhi also said, 'From 2004 to 2014 there was rapid economic growth in India. At that time our government had evacuated crores of people from the poverty line. In Assam, we will end unemployment. The time has come to get rid of the government of the remote in Assam. Remote television can play but Assam cannot. Your Chief Minister should be from Assam.' Apart from this, he said many other things in his address.
