New Delhi: The Congress leaders continue to resign from the party. Congress leaders are leaving the party one by one. Now a big name is added to it. Former Upper House MP and senior Congress leader S Kujur has also resigned from the party. He had been associated with Congress for more than 13 years.
He has resigned from party membership with immediate effect. In a letter to the party, S. Kuzur said, "I am resigning from the party membership and portfolio given by the Congress party with immediate effect. This is entirely my personal decision. I have worked for the party for more than 13 years and it is a pleasure for me to stay connected with the country's important political party," he said.
Earlier on Friday, Jharkhand Congress unit president Ajay Kumar had resigned from the party. According to Congress sources, Ajay Kumar has submitted his resignation to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. This is the second time he has resigned from his post. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress continues to falter. The party is divided into two segments. One faction is led by Ajay Kumar, another by former minister Subodh Kant Sahai and others.
