Bhopal: A video of KP Singh 'Kakkaju,' a six-time Congress MLA hailing from the Pichhore constituency in Madhya Pradesh's Shivpuri district, is currently circulating on social media. In this widely shared footage, he has made an extraordinarily contentious statement about women, uttering offensive remarks regarding young spouses of elderly husbands. Singh alleged that these women engage in illicit relationships, with other men occupying their beds during the night. He contended that their husbands are incapable of satisfying their conjugal desires, leading to a loss of control in the situation. This video purportedly captures a public gathering within the Pichhore assembly constituency.

The legislator asserted, 'I have observed numerous instances of individuals marrying in their twilight years. Initially, they rejoice at the arrival of a new wife in their abode, but subsequently, she perceives her husband as ineffectual.' He further expounded that other men start frequenting their homes, while the aged husbands find themselves resigned, musing, 'As I am advanced in years and lack self-restraint, I find myself powerless to restrain my spouse or voice any objection.'

A spokesperson from the Bharatiya Janata Party in Madhya Pradesh took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to decry the situation, stating, 'KP Singh, the Congress MLA from Pichhore, is disparaging women and employing such vulgar language in public. This exemplifies the impoverished mindset within the Congress party. Such thinking among Congress leaders is palpably reflected in incidents like the Bhanwari Devi case, Sarla Mishra, the Bobby murder case, and the Tandoor incident.' Notably, this video footage is believed to be two to three days old. According to certain accounts, KP Singh frequently disseminates similar declarations, which subsequently gain viral traction on social media platforms.

Subsequently, the Congress leader has released a video clip, proffering his explanation on the matter after it garnered significant attention on social media. He contends that his statement has been maliciously distorted on online platforms and exploited by his political adversaries. He vocalized, 'I fervently beseech all to understand that I have neither uttered nor harbored any intention to utter such remarks. I hold all women in the highest regard, and if my comment has caused any harm, I tender my sincerest apologies.'
