New Delhi: The issue of wrongly taking the name of the President continues. This issue is not taking the name of calm. In fact, Leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has once again written a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, urging Smriti Irani to issue an unconditional apology.

Let us tell you that recently Adhir Ranjan has written in the letter, 'I want to reiterate that due to slip of tongue, the name of our honorable President Madam was dragged into unnecessary and unfair controversy. This unintentional mistake happened because I am not very good in Hindi. I have expressed my regret for my mistake and apologized to the Hon'ble President. But I also want to point out that the way Mrs. Smriti Irani was taking the honorable President's name in the House was not proper. She was shouting 'Draupadi Murmu' again and again without using respectful words like Honorable President or Madam or Mrs. It is like lowering the rank of the Honorable President. Therefore, I demand that I call upon Smt. Smriti Irani to issue an unconditional apology.'

Now this letter of Adhir Ranjan is becoming increasingly viral. Let us tell you that earlier on Friday, Chaudhary had made another request to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. During that time, he said that all those things should be removed from the proceedings, which had been done in the context of Sonia Gandhi by the ruling party during the uproar in the House on Thursday over her remark of 'national wife'. Apart from this, Choudhary also said that, 'That part of Union Minister Smriti Irani's statement should also be removed, in which she allegedly did not make a respectful address while naming President Draupadi Murmu.'
