Sonia Gandhi attacks Modi government, says ''Selling country's properties...''

New Delhi: Congress President Sonia Gandhi hit out at the Central government at a Congress Parliamentary Party meeting. She said the government is insensitive to farmers. Sonia Gandhi said that the government is working to sell the properties of the country. Speaking on the border dispute, the Congress President said that the opposition wants to hold talks on insecurity on the border but the government is not ready for it. He took a dig at the Central Government's policy of price rise and disinvestment.

At the same time, she recalled the protesting farmers and said, "Let us respect the 700 protesting farmers who sacrificed their lives. Sonia Gandhi raised the issue of border dispute and said, "We demand full dialogue in Parliament on border issues". Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has also attended the meeting. The Congress Parliamentary Party meeting comes at a time when there is continuous protest from opposition parties over the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs for the winter session. On the other hand, opposition parties are going to protest in support of MPs from Rajya Sabha in front of Gandhi's statue in parliament premises today. The demonstration will be held from around 10 am to 5 pm. Leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge had said on Monday that the government was responsible for the disruption in proceedings in the Upper House of Parliament. At the same time, he termed the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs as unfair.
